ACT - SAT
These are the basic academic skills needed to get any score on the ACT/SAT, including a 36.

speaking and reading English
-
knowing very basic/common science
-
fair understanding of the basic principles of arithmetic, geometry, algebra, and trigonometry
* Reading is the most important academic skill. Even the math and science is mostly reading.
Beyond the basic academic education, the only other things needed is:

proper use of academic skills
-
correct approach to taking the test
-
utilizing test structure, patterns and standardizations rules.
Most children who take the ACT/SAT have the necessary knowledge to score significantly higher on the test than they actually do.
